Here are some examples of past projects and resulting resources developed by The AgTech Network.

The Digital Agriculture Ecosystem Assessment for Tanzania, 2023

This report provides a comprehensive overview of Tanzania's digital agriculture landscape including livestock. To ensure a diverse range of experiences and perspectives,we sought interviews with various types of organizations, including government agencies, research institutions, NGOs, investors, farmer associations, agribusinesses, technology companies, agtechs, and fintechs in the country. In total we interviewed over 30 relevant actors. The analysis has identified opportunities for impactful investments and interventions. Key objectives include mapping relevant actors in the digital agriculture ecosystem, pinpointing challenges and opportunities for effective technology adoption in the agriculture sector, and assessing the specific hurdles and prospects for Tanzanian women and youth in digital agriculture. This research was commissioned by USAID and published in 2023.



The Digital Agriculture Ecosystem Assessment for Colombia, 2023

In this report, The AgTech Network provides a comprehensive overview of Colombia's digital agriculture landscape. For this project we have interviewed over 30 organisations (actively doing work in Colombia), and profiled over 150 digital services and solutions for the agricultural sector. Our research has identified opportunities for impactful investments and interventions for enhancing the digital agriculture ecosystem and supporting innovation. Key objectives of this research included mapping relevant actors in the digital agriculture ecosystem, pinpointing challenges and opportunities for effective technology adoption in the agriculture sector, and assessing the specific hurdles and prospects for smallholder farmers and youth in digital agriculture. Special focus in this report has been given to climate adaptation of the agricultural sector and developing PDET areas through AgTech innovations. The report was published in 2023.
